What are your goals as an artist?

While this question is open ended, and might solicit any kind of intention from the political to the personal, from effect to affect, from survival to fame and wealth ... it does presume that art making is a teleological enterprise. Perhaps that is perfectly reasonable. But what about an artist motivated by strategies of resistance or avoidance, or even simply compulsion?
